Employee performance management is considered a vital process in evaluating the actual performance of the employees vis-à-vis desired performance expected by the organization. In other words, the core objective of the performance management process is to enhance the overall effectiveness of the employees while assuring the highest employee satisfaction regarding the organization (HAYES, 2021).



Therefore, the employee appraisal system has consisted with a systematic process which urges to identify the employee desired performance targets, evaluation of actual performance against the desired performance, monitoring and feedback providing, rewarding or training process and so on (Ha Thu Nguyen, 2017). As far as employees are concerned, each employee is given clear targets or key performance indicators in line with the corporate objectives and these indicators are comprehensively evaluated against the actual performance of the employees. In the performance appraisal system, there are periodic evaluations by the supervisors to verify the alignment of actual performance with the desired objectives where there are stipulated check lists are maintained by them. These targets are discussed with the employees in order to provide feedbacks regarding their performance while indicating the corrective actions which can be obtained in order to enhance future performance while reducing the possibility of occurring same mistakes in future (Dangol, 2021).

Further, based on these actual performance, continuous evaluations are carried out with appropriate changes in the targets with the intention of optimizing organizational performance while ensuring their performance is in line with the desired performance targets of the organization.

Salahudeen you have explained very well systems of employee evaluation compare employee performance to previously established objectives, establish future goals, and advise staff on their professional growth and training requirements. They provide a framework to direct future improvements and assist managers in identifying both performance successes and failures.
